Digress Submission Guidlines

Digress welcomes submissions for print. If you would like to give us something to print, the following guidlines should be followed:

Electronic submissions: These are preferred, via email, or hand delivered. We use PC's so that format is preferred. Macs can write PC style floppies/CDR's so keep that in mind.

Media: Floppy Disk or CDROM only. We aren't able to use Zip disks or other medium.

Email: Please send email submissions to mable@digressonline.com as an attached file.

File Types:

Text: Word, Write, Works, RTF, or Text - Most formats can be handled.

Images - Most standard image types can be used. A resolution of 300 DPI or better is a must for a quality print. Listed below are the formats we prefer. (in order of preference):

PSD Photoshop (v6.0)

PNG Portable Network Graphics

TIFF Big and Ugly, but we'll take it.

GIF Graphics Interchange Format (Good for images with few Colors)

JPG .jpg, .jpeg (Good for images with many colors)

BMP Windows Bitmap

AI Adobe Illustrator v9.0 (or less)

EPS Encapsulated Post-Script

PDF Acrobat files. If you can make these you can likely make any of the other ones, so try that first.

Copy Submissions These are accepted as well. If at all possible, do not submit original copies of the work in case it is lost or damaged. In most cases the copies will be kept in the bottomless Digress archives. In special cases such as artwork and some photography, special arrangements can be made for the work to be returned. Any images must be scanned to be included, so make sure they are smaller than 8 1/2 x 11 inches so that it will fit in the scanner. For larger images, Kinko's makes excellent reductions. For large paintings and other items, Digress will arrange for a photographer if the artist can not supply photos.
