Digress
is a magazine that features and promotes local artists from Riverside as well
as other communities. The aim of Digress is to provide a free forum
for those who wish to present their work, along with their ideas involving
art, writing, music, events taking place in our community, and the process
involved with such ventures. Yes, this magazine promotes the process of art
as much as the final product of the art itself. I feel both are equally important
entities if one is to fully "appreciate" art and those working to
make a change in our community as a whole.
The ultimate goal of Digress is to envelop a wide range of artistry
and voices that divest and introduce art's infinite forms while, at the same
time, providing free space for artists (and members of our community in general)
in which to do this.
Your art and ideas are vital to the goals of this publication. So, disregard
the critics' confines, and submit to Digress!
Let's tear it up!

views and opinions expressed in each issue of Digress
Magazine are not necessarily the views of the editor. Thank you for
understanding that this free community magazine could not maintain its goal
of being an open forum to many different ideas if people do not submit their
ideas and let them be known to the editor. Please send all inquiries and concerns

you.

(Mar-07-2005) Clit Rocket zine needs contributors! Submit to one of the best queer zines around!
I'm currently working at the #4 of my queer feminist zine Clit Rocket and i would like to enclose in the upcoming issue an article about "Violence in the Women Relationships" I'm especially interested in violence dynamics into women couples + friendships and i refer at all kinds of violence; by the most subtle as manipulation and emotional pressure at the more explicit as the physical abuse. I am interested in articles, rants, stories written by the political queer feminist perspective.
To contribuite it's not important the structure of the text and if you choose to contribute about it through poetry, prose, a manifesto etc..
I'm interested at the substance.
I would like to enclose such an article in the next issue cuz i believe that we as queer feminist women & activists focus our fight most of the time only on the male violence towards women but i would like to read, to discuss and to give space also at the violence that women excercize on other women more or less consiousness.
I personally don't know how often this kind of violence occurs, but i know it's exist and i want to learn more about it and i find it's important to have an open space for talk about it!
Clit Rocket #4 will came out in April 2005 with lots of interviews at filmakers, bands and queers agitators around the world, so unfortuntely there isn't much time but since i hate deadlines of any kinds, if you want contribuite about this topic but don't have the enough time for work at it properly please, put in touch with me anyway, i can always publicate the article later!
If you know someone that could being interested to contribuite in some way, please, feel free to FWD this email to your friends, peers, lovers, comrades ...
Hope to hear soon from you!
Best, Veruska
